Boxy Exterior + Hamsters= Ample Cargo Room

The Kia Soul isn’t the first vehicle with this stylish and hip boxy exterior, but it may be at the top of the list. The Soul definitely has a unique flair of its own with expressive options and the latest interior technology.

There is ample cargo room for five to sit comfortably. There’s also adequate space in the exterior of the Soul for any of your normal errands. But, just in case, the 60/40-Split Folding Rear Seats will create more than enough cargo capacity for you, your passengers, perhaps your dogs, and any other luggage you may acquire. The cargo liner protects the exterior of the vehicle from any embarrassing leaks and scuffs.

Acceleration and Passing Power Made Effortless
The 3.7-liter V6 engine unleashes a class-leading 330 hp and features exclusive VVEL technology that continually tunes valve left and timing for quicker response and broader torque curve, even while improving fuel economy and emissions.
Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive provides power and support where and when you need it, instantly adapting to the changing conditions of the road. By constantly monitoring wheelspin, throttle position and vehicle speed, this system automatically diverts up to 50 percent of the available power to the front wheels, enhancing traction and control when conditions are less than optimal. When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system sends 100 percent of the power to the rear wheels for more responsive road performance.
The unique collaboration of Infiniti designers and engineers created the G Coupe’s massive 14-inch front rotors and sculpted 4-piston front caliper that grab faster and with more finite control than a sliding caliper design. Press the brake pedal and you’ll feel their precise feedback and gain a greater sense of power and control.
With the 7-speed automatic, more gears mean you always have the optimum selection for quick and responsive acceleration. And the high 7th gear allows lower-rpm cruising for greater fuel efficiency. Shift through all seven smoothly and seamlessly in automatic mode, or switch into manual with Downshift Rev Matching and use the available solid magnesium paddle shifters for a more hands-on connection. Or opt for the 6-speed manual transmission and take direct control for maximum performance.

Soul of a Racecar

The R8 is super fast and just as drivable. Here’s why:

4.2L V8 FSI®: The Audi R8’s mid-mounted engine is fierce and loud, as you can clearly see through the distinctive transparent engine cover. It produces 420 horsepower with a maximum torque of 317 lb-ft, and its top speed is 187 mph. It can get you from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds, leaving you clinging to your leather seat.

5.2L V10 FSI®: The addition of the V10 to the 2010 R8 adds new levels of power. The 10-cylinder 525 horsepower engine is the same power plant found in the R8 LMS GT3 racecar and is capable of delivering breathtaking performance. The Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro delivers 391 lb-ft of torque and achieves a 0-60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds.
Manual six-speed gated transmission: The gearing of the mechanical six-speed manual gearbox with a dry double plate clutch is matched exactly to the engine and driving performance of the R8. This allows for the engine’s torque to be transmitted to the wheels over almost the entire range of gear ratios and engine speeds.

Lucky number 8: The R8’s redline is at 8,000 rpm - which is high for any vehicle, but especially a V8. This definitely helps get the R8 from a standstill to highway speeds quickly. Unbridled speed is fine for drag racing on a straightaway, but for a sports car to be used on a daily basis, it has to have great handling to stay on the road.

Four-link suspension: The four-link independent suspension at both sets of wheels allows for the functional separation of the cushioning of longitudinal and transverse forces. Not only is comfort enhanced, but directional stability and a sport road behavior are fully maintained.

Audi Magnetic Ride : Audi Magnetic Ride adaptive suspension varies damping automatically and continuously in response to driving conditions. There are Sport or Standard custom chassis settings.

Servotronic®: Servotronic® is speed-dependent power steering in which the amount of servo assist provided is dictated by road speed. It is direct, precise, and responsive, designed to satisfy the driver’s needs at all speeds.

quattro®: Audi’s all-wheel drive offers an enhanced level of performance. In normal conditions, quattro® offers superior performance you’ll notice improved handling, while in the worst conditions, like ice and snow, you’ll notice no difference in road conditions, thanks to quattro’s exceptional control.

Dry-sump lubrication: An essential of racing technology. It keeps the crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods lubricated continuously, even under very high forces of acceleration. With dry-sump lubrication, the pressure pump is always well supplied with oil, even at high cornering speeds.

Through the Darkness comes…the Lexus IS C

Operated via 13 electric motors, 33 sensors and a dedicated Electronic Control Unit (ECU), this three-piece hardtop retracts in approximately 20 seconds, making it the fastest in its class. As important, with the top up, the IS Convertible provides the same air-tight seal as the IS sport sedan.

Moments before the convertible roof completes its closing process, a braking mechanism is activated to gently bring the top into position. This helps minimize undesirable mechanical sounds and gives the IS Convertible an additional air of refinement.

The IS Convertible stays true to the original IS sedan by sharing the same hood, headlamps, door handles and side-mirror designs. With the top up, it delivers the aggressive profile of a two-door coupe. And with the top down, it’s a stunning convertible. This dual-mode design lets IS Convertible drivers feel like they’re driving two vehicles instead of one.

To help make the IS Convertible as aerodynamic as possible, our engineers meticulously adjusted the angle and shape of the windshield, the size of the cabin, the contour of the taillamps and even the height of the trunk lid. This all helped improve airflow over the vehicle (a mere 0.29 coefficient of drag), resulting in excellent fuel economy, a quieter cabin and better vehicle control at higher speeds.

By recognizing the unique security code transmitted by your key fob, the SmartAccess system allows the vehicle to unlock the door or trunk lid without you having to touch your key. The system also activates the puddle lamps to help you see your way to the door, and an entry lighting system illuminates your path of entry from the door handle to the ignition button.

Backing out of tight spaces is much easier with the available backup camera. A tiny camera integrated into the trunk helps show what the camera detects behind the vehicle. Place the IS Convertible in reverse and the camera’s view is displayed in full color on the LCD screen located in the center console.

When it comes to road-illumination technology, the available Bi-Xenon™ High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps are not only several times brighter than their halogen counterparts, their xenon gas bulbs use less energy and last significantly longer. In addition, an auto-leveling feature helps to ensure that the headlamps remain pointed at the proper angle, reducing glare to oncoming drivers.

Integrated stylishly into the lower corners of the front bumper is a set of foglamps. Not only do they help you see better in inclement weather, they also help reduce glare for oncoming drivers.

A millimeter-wave radar sensor allows the available Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to maintain your selected speed. This system also enables you to follow the vehicle in front of you at the same pre-set speed. If you get too close to the traffic in front of you, the throttle is automatically reduced and brakes are applied. Once the road clears, the IS returns to its pre-set speed. A car icon on the information display shows the selected following distance.

Boosting both the aesthetics and performance of the IS Convertible are standard low-profile, 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels fitted with high-performance tires. The IS Convertible is also available with 18-inch five-spoke wheels, which are eight inches wide at the front and 8.5 inches wide at the rear.
